SOURCES OF RADON IN INDOOR AIRKalina Mamont-Cieśla Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection, Department of Dosimetry, Konwaliowa 7, 03-194 Warsaw, Poland Sources of radon in buildings are described; current views are presented on the contribution of different sources of this radionuclide to its total concentration. The results of preliminary investigations of radon levels in buildings in 7 regions of Poland are briefly presented. These results confirm dominating influence of the basement soil on the level of radon concentration occurring in buildings. Close X |
