FRICTION AND WEAR PROCESSES MODIFICATION OF ION IMPLANTED STEELB. Kamieńska-Krzowska, P. Tarkowski Technical University of Lublin, Mechanical Faculty, 36 Nadbystrzycka Str., 20-618 Lublin, Poland Comparative studies of implanted and non-implanted specimens are carried out as model experiments at the test stand according to different testing methods. Tested specimens were produced of 15 HGM steel and were implanted with a nitrogen dose of 2x1017 ions/cm2 with 120 keV. The results of the study indicate that nitrogen ion implantation of the 15 HGM steel improves the friction coefficient ans wear intensity. Close X |
