DPF DEVICE APPLICATION IN THE MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATIONAleksandr V. Dubrovsky1, Pavel V. Silin1, Vladymir A. Gribkov2, Igor V. Volobuev1 1 Department of Neutron Physics, P. N. Lebedev Physical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Leninski Prospekt 53, 117924 Moscow, Russia 2 Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion, Warsaw, Hery 23, Poland The ability of a dense plasma focus (DPF) installation, to serve as a unique powerful hard X-ray and neutron pulse generator, is discussed. A principle of the dynamic detection of defects, based on a small-scale DPF device, is described. The results of a dynamic defect detection experiment are presented. Different aspects of the application and adaptation of a small DPF chamber for the material science, are discussed. Close X |
